The Egyptian Authority for Quality Assurance and Accreditation (NAQAAE) is a novice organization. It was established in 8/11/2007 with the main goal of supporting more than 50,000 Egyptian educational institutes in fostering quality assurance measures and preparing them for accreditation. It is the accrediting body for all Egyptian educational society (higher education, pre- university, and Al-Azhar education). The organization structure of NAQAAE includes a president, 3 Vice-presidents and eleven members from different professional, Academic and entrepreneurial backgrounds.

Mission Statement
• Raise awareness of the concept of Quality Assurance and Culture of Accreditation on the national level, • Mobilize community participation towards education reform, • To establish the national academic standard and rubrics through the collaboration with the various national and international educational organizations, • Support the institutional capacity for self- evaluation, • Periodically update the Accreditation Manual and revisit education institutions to assure quality, • Display an image of transparency and accountability through out the process of accreditation.

Organization Objective
1- To raise awareness of educational quality among the Egyptian Academic Institutes and the Egyptian Society. 2- To establish coordination between academic institutes to reach an integrated system for educational standards and performance assessment measures in accordance with international standards. 3- To empower the Egyptian Educational Institutions with the capacity for self assessment. 4- To assert confidence and establish accountability in the educational outcomes at the local, regional and international levels. 5- To evaluate educational programs and institutional performance. 6- To issue accreditation certificates for all educational institutes in Egypt. To achieve these objectives, NAQAAE is authorized to take the following measures: 1. Strategic planning for educational quality assurance towards institutional evaluation and accreditation. 2. Developing instruments for promoting educational quality awareness among academic institutions. 3. Setting up evaluation measures for the institutional fulfillment of accreditation standards.
